Meet the Stitcher

Katie began learning embroidery at her mother’s arm in the 90’s. She explored illustration, watercolor and acrylic painting, multimedia collage, and more. She returned to stitching as an adult. She found it a comfortable medium for being couch-bound by the disabling effects of endometriosis. Her style is influenced by the years she spent painting. She enjoys utilizing embroidery materials to achieve painterly effects, especially in impressionist styles.
